All Year Cape Town Cycle Tour is a version of the Cycle Tour route you can ride all year round. The Cape Town Cycle Tour is the biggest road cycling event in South Africa and the World’s Largest Timed Cycle Race. More than 35 000 people from around the world join this race the second Sunday of March. But many cyclists also want to experience the Cycle Tour during the rest of the year. It's not recommended to follow the official route though, except on the official race day, since some dangerous roads are only then closed to other traffic. Following the route described on this page you will ride a large part of the real route. You'll ride the wonderful coastal road from V & A Waterfront to Noordhoek back and forth, plus the loop on the Cape Peninsula.

Head south along the Atlantic Seaboard, climb Suikerbossie and descend to Hout Bay. Ride spectacular Chapman's Peak Drive from there. Downhill to Noordhoek and ride over Black Hill to Glencairn. That's where you get on the official routew with the loop on the Cape Peninsula: over Smitswinkel en Red Hill back to Noordhoek. Then back to Cape Town, more or less the same route: over Chapman's Peak and the steeper side of Suikerbossie, which is also the final climb in the Cape Town Cycle Tour.

Start: the gps-track you can download on this page starts and ends at V&A Waterfront, but you can also start from one of the many parkings along the route.
